Torgerson and his colleagues have recently published what appears to be the most credible data on the heritability of borderline personality disorder (REF. 10). These data, collected from both interview and self-report questionnaires, estimated the heritability of the disorder to be 67%. This rate is greater than that of 60% reported by Kendler and his colleagues in 2011 in a study that used only a self-report questionnaire (REF. 10).
